What’s your first thought when you wake up each morning?
If you’re like me, you probably clumsily fumble around for the alarm clock, wishing time would grant you just 5 more minutes. But once the coffee has warmed my belly and my bones, and I emerge from my sleepy haze, morning becomes my favorite part of the day, and let me tell you why. Morning is an inspiration, its revival, its rebirth. It’s refreshing, and it’s free of judgment. Every day, we are presented with a clean slate, to do whatever, and become whoever we push to become. And each new slate has countless more behind it. It’s like it’s nature’s way of saying, maybe you can accomplish today, what you were too overwhelmed by yesterday. And that’s such a powerful feeling. When only looking forward, there is only endless time and energy to work with. It’s when we look back that we convince ourselves we aren’t good enough. I’ll keep this post short and sweet, but before I go, allow me to offer a simple piece of life advice you may have already heard from someone on a technical downhill ride.
Keep your eyes where you’re going, not where you are.
